The Big Rumble in conjunction with The 1906 Great Earthquake & Fire, The 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake and National Preparedness Month offer many opportunities for communities to get educated about preparedness and to get involved. Interactive Website
- Each participant city that signs up will have its own page on The Big Rumble website to feature local events, information, and activities.
- The Big Rumble website will serve as a central portal for connections to resources and information — offering helpful interactive graphics, tools, and links.
Online Emergency Map
- Printable and easy to update map covering the Greater Bay Area cities.
- Supports individual preparedness planning with locations of potential resources within your area such as Hospitals, Schools, Parks, Recreation Centers and more.
Readiness Survey
- Allows individuals to set up their profile and take a survey to assess their individual readiness. The survey can be accessed repeatedly to track their progress.
- Allows City leaders to get more information to assess their residents’ levels of preparedness over time.
Community building event template/Toolkit
- Provides easy step-by-step planning of a Rumble event containing easy to follow directions that allow for a quick “plug and play” event.
Combining efforts
- Greater Bay Area participation helps to encourage involvement on an individual level.
- By using The Big Rumble as your event name, communities will feel a sense of connection with other Bay Area cities as well as realize an importance for becoming safety conscious before, during, and after a quake.
